As the kids begin to go back to school from the summer. Many people begin to have issues with their child and academics/schooling and activities such as martial arts. Parents feel there needs to be an adjustment for the kids to go through in order for the kids to get use to their new schedule. We’ve found through the many years of teaching kids, that’s not really the issue. The issue is “Time Management Skills”. It’s important to teach kids how to manage their time and they can see how much of they’re able to get done and accomplish.
Start the night before and let them know they have school in the morning , they have to get up 30 minutes before they need to leave and to get their clothes ready and their martial arts uniform as well, because they have class after school. When the child wakes up in the in the morning remind them of the time they will be leaving the house for school and to remember they have martial arts class after school. This allows the child to understand and plan their day. It’s easier for them to make time and accept their schedule because they have been informed and know whats happening.
