Derric Samuels

Mr. Derric Samuels began his martial arts training at age ten and began competing and performing at local competitions at age sixteen. In 2002 he became more interested in the fighting aspects of martial arts and started training for full contact matches. In 2003 he competed in world sanctioned competitions and was ranked fourth in his class amongst some of the nations decorated athletes. In 2006 Mr. Samuels began training in Chinese Wushu focusing on the Nan Quan (Southern Fist) and Southern Staff (Nan Gun). Mr. Samuels received his Black Sash in December of 2008 and teaches under the academies general curriculum and Sanda program. Mr. Samuels goals are to bring out the very best in all students not just in martial arts, but the very best in all aspects of their lives.
